Human trafficking is the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for labor or services, through the use of force, fraud, or coercion for the purpose of subjection to involuntary servitude, peonage, debt bondage, or slavery. Sex trafficking occurs when a commercial sex act is induced by force, fraud, or coercion, or when the person induced to perform such acts has not attained 18 yrs of age.

Some scenarios may include: Traffickers will often times lure a young girl with the promise of a modeling career that pays big money and many times tell them the jobs are overseas. Their "photo studios" may be out of their homes or other non-commercial locations. Once they have a young person who has agreed to their offer, seasoning begins. The girls are beaten, raped, threatened, etc. and then within 24-48 hours forced to prostitute themselves.
